2nd Cycle of Studies

(Postgraduate Studies)

1. In-depth understanding of Basic and Applied Chemistry, Materials Technology, Analytical Chemistry, and Nanotechnology, both theoretically and practically.

2. Graduates of the MSc in Chemistry are also capable of:
a) Seeking and analyzing data, synthesizing materials and adopting information using appropriate technologies.
b) Adapting to new situations.
c) Making decisions.
d) Working independently or as part of a team.
e) Exercising critical and self-critical thinking.
f) Operating in an interdisciplinary environment.
g) Designing and managing projects.
h) Respecting the natural environment.
i) Promoting free thought.
j) Developing creative and inductive thinking.

The MSc in Chemistry consists of 3 semesters and requires 90 ECTS credits for completion. For students entering in the 2024–2025 academic year, the distribution is as follows:

Specialization I:Chemistry and Materials Technology with Applications in Industry, Energy, and the Environment”:
A) Core compulsory courses: 30 ECTS
B) Elective course: 10 ECTS
C) MSc Thesis (XYE-103, XYE-202, XYE-301): 50 ECTS

Specialization II: “Analytical Chemistry and Nanotechnology”:
A) Core compulsory courses: 40 ECTS
B) MSc Thesis (AXN-103, AXN-203, AXN-301): 50 ECTS
